OH Logistics wins Method SCM contract for firmÂ’s fourth DC

Home care product maker Method has selected OzburnHessey Logistics to provide supply chain management for Method's fourth distribution center in Dayton, N.J.

OH Logistics provides thirdparty logistics services for the Method distribution centers in Georgia and California.

Method's new 90,000squarefoot New Jersey location, according to the San Franciscobased firm, will dramatically cut transit times for many customers now served by the firm's other DCs from five to seven days down to one to two days.

The distribution center provides us with several key benefits for increased efficiency," said Jason Bowman, director of logistics for Method. "The location of the new distribution center has rail access, allowing us to ship inventory by rail direct from comanufacturers, resulting in reduced emissions and freightout savings."

Tennesseebased OH Logistics beat out 20 potential candidates for the Method contract in N.J.

Financial details of the contract were not released.
